    Did you use any bed bug prevention methods that required a purchase (ie. spray) ?

    Permethrin is dangerous to cats, so spray your pack and liner at a friend’s house who does not have cats, and leave them there until they dry (usually overnight.) The odd thing is the pack and liner do not smell after the Permethrin has dried.

    Hospital Bill from Spanish Hospital

    I was hospitalized overnight in Pamplona in 2017 in what I believe was a public hospital. I was treated for Afib. Although I had travel insurance, they never asked for payment, nor billed me.

    I have used the Costco down throw, plus a liner, on 2 Caminos. I definitely needed it in Roncesvalles, in early May.

    Transport from either Pamplona or San Sebastian airport to Saint Jean pied de Port

    A cab from the Pamplona train station to SJPP is about 100 euros. You probably can find another Pilgrim or two to share the ride. They’ll be wearing backpacks, so you’ll recognize them.

    Walking Poles or not?

    You can buy them in St. Jean, or at the Auburgue store in Roncesvalles. I found that one pole was enough, and it really helped on uneven ground.
