I live in Australia and am very fair skinned so need to wide brimmed hat. I purchased a wide brimmed 'cooling' hat prior to travelling as it was light and cool to wear. I purchased a Buff and used this when the sun was not a problem or the temperature was cooler. Very versatile.
I am not a snacker but always bought fresh fruit in the evening to eat on the way to breakfast. We always walked to breakfast usually about 5klms. We found we only ate breakfast and then an early dinner. Mostly ate the Pilgrim menu 3 courses.
I did my 1st Camino Francis in Sept 16. My shortest day was 6 hours and longest 10. I completed it in 33 days with no break days. It was great to finish early afternoon to enjoy the afternoon at your destination and catch up with your Camino friends for drinks or a meal. I think this was the...
I remember going past farms where animals were housed inside but the sounds were always happy animal sounds. I walked with others and alone but never heard anyone talk of ba slaughter house. Hope you have a great Camino
St
St Irene private albergue is just amazing we stayed in the little upstairs private room that slept 4. The do a great pilgrim meal. An easy walk to Santiago
Although I did not walk the Camino alone the friend I walked with walked much faster than me. I spent 80-90% of my time alone. I loved the serenity of walking alone. You are rarely alone as there are many pilgrims and they look out for you. I would recommend book into Orbison the first night -...

We stopped at Orisson and definitely recommend it. We met many pilgrims who we finished the Camino with. The pilgrim dinner was so memorable I would stop. You need to book as it books out quickly. You can email them and they may take a little while to respond but you will not be disappointed. Enjoy
I was really well hydrated but suffered terrible blisters. My boots were worn in before trip. My travelling companion drinks very little and did not have blisters
