    Documentary "Walk though Fire"

Camino de Santiago Documentary | Walk Through Fire I really liked this one as well. I always love the vlogs that focus on the people and connections made.

    A second camino - motivations?

6 years later and the pull never goes away. I went with two other people last time and wish to do one on my own now. I think the Frances again. The hardest part is finding the when and how. Sometimes I think I just need a sign 😉

Your Opinion on how I will start

Great advice. I stopped in Orisson on first day after staying in St. Jean the night before. Didn't get started until about 11 am ish and it worked out quite well. Really helped the next day and easing into the journey as well.

How Hot Is Too Hot? A recent study.

I live in Texas and it has been at least 38 C or above for about 2 weeks now with recent temps getting to 40 or 41 C with a "feels like" temp of 43 C some days. All of this with around 50% humidity. It is impossible to do anything outside. I say this as someone who has lived here my entire life...

    A collection of Camino videos

Hopefully with everyone walking again we'll get some new vlogs. I need to feed my addiction. :)

LIVE from the Camino The French Way - NobleHiker Chronology

Man o man, those pictures of the beautiful blue skies make me miss the camino so much(more than usually?). Thank you for sharing!

Why walk the same Camino again?

After the past couple of years I wouldn’t question why anyone would do it again if given the chance. I will be five years removed from my Camino soon and I honestly would have thought I would have returned by now. It just hasn’t been “in the cards” between work and pandemic. I am simply waiting...

Camino “families” - how cliquey or impenetrable are they mid-way through a Camino?

Every Camino will be different and you just have to go with the flow and not overthink things. If I may ask, what Camino vlog were you watching? I love those things and watch all I can get my hands on.

    Scenic route from Villafranca

It has been almost 5 years but it is funny looking back that I remember this route as one of the toughest days(worth it for the views!)along with the descent into Molinaseca. Did Villafranca to La Laguna. I often wonder if this is simply because the first day on the pyrnees was so far behind me...

    A collection of Camino videos

This one I recently found is a father and son from the US making short daily videos. They are on the camino right now(up to Astorga I believe) so it could be interesting for people wondering what it is like. Crumb Snatcher Travels

OBSOLETE COVID THREAD Travel from USA to Spain update

I'm sure there is every degree possible since millions and millions of people have had it. I have tons of opinions on this stuff that don't belong here though 😟. Either way, my point was getting stuck and if you did happen to get really sick as well, bad situation. Not worth the risk for me.

OBSOLETE COVID THREAD Travel from USA to Spain update

If you travel in the next couple months you are quite brave. I'm not talking about covid either because the vaccines seem to make cases asymptomatic or mild. I mean popping positive and spending x amount of days in a hotel room. Yikes. :(

Efrén González headed back to Spain for 2021

He just uploaded his walk from Ponferrada to Villafranca

    My Camino regret!

I don't have any regrets, I have reasons to go back and walk again. :)

Thinking of starting from SJPdP in September? Consider this

I'm wondering how these numbers look post pandemic for this fall and next. As someone not planning to be one of the first to dive back in the numbers in general for the whole year will be fascinating to me.

    Where did that Town Go??

I couldn't remember where I had been two days previous while I was on the camino. A return trip should prove interesting. 😅

Trying to work out the length of my camino for flights

I can echo the thoughts of others who walked and took 30-34 days. I did 33 and if I went again I would plan for 45 or so if not more. You can walk to Fisterra and Muxia with extra time and have more rest days etc. I often like to day dream about having that much time and just going with the...

    Camino Frances a Second Time

That is an interesting spread of CF dates. I'm intrigued as to the difference you felt in the two year gap as opposed to the 9 year gap when returning. I once thought I would return soon but now between career and the world it looks to be awhile.

    Trouble in Burgos

I've seen similar albiet a bit more peaceful gatherings in other countries. I am afraid that this might be only the beginning as "lockdown" spreads. The longer is lasts the worse it will become I would guess which seems like such a no win situation. Hope to be wrong. Stay safe out there.

1st time Camino. Starting Frances 26th Sep

Navarra is getting hit really hard right now with new cases. It is something I would keep an eye on as you start out.
