    Merino wool socks wrecked?

    We have been wearing REI Merino Wool (80%) socks for 5+ years. They are cold water washed & dried with other laundry on regular hot cycle. Never had shrinkage or decreased longevity. Cold water wash & over night dry when on the Camino with our problems.

    Favorite places to spend an extra day/night to visit historical/cultural sites?

    Astorga was our favorite town to spend an extra night for these reasons & more. We enjoyed a smaller town & all the various foods on the square. Had the best Churros con Chocolate in Astorga.
