What type and size water bottle to take?
Water was never a problem on the Camino Portugues (2010). I took a 2L Camelback and had a 500ml bottle is a reserve in case I needed to fill up along the way. The only day I drained my water (after refills at two fontes) was in Spain, between Mos and Pontevedre - Granted it was hot, sunny...- bactman

Wanting to walk Camino Portugues
ready2walk, I completed the Camino Portugues last year and pretty much agree with everyone here. #1: I flew into Porto via Ryanair from Madrid, and used their metro to ride to a pension off Rue Cedofeita. After completing the Camino, I flew Ryanair from Santiago to Madrid - no problems...- bactman

Eating on the Camino
Finding food was never a problem, most of the albergues or logical stops along the way are in a town or near a pub/tavern. There were two albergues, outside of Caldas de Rais and in Teo, that seemed to be fairly remote. Finding food may be more of an issue at these albergues than others.- bactman

Some minor info on Porto/SDC
Caminando, Internet connections are available at the albergues in Tamel and Valenca. There is an internet cafe in Santiago not far from the cathedral (towards the Badalada Pension). I actually like Ryanair - I fly a lot for my work. It is very refreshing to actually see an airline regulate...- bactman
