    Any pilgrims in their 80s?

I hiked it at 77 (solo) moderate training (will do more for my next camino this spring when I will be 80) - I gave myself bag transport most days and just carried a daypack, (2 hip replacements) I started in Pamplona bc it was convenient for me, but had a hard 1st day so glad to have skipped...

30 days - from St Jean Pied de Port to Santiago - is it possible without stress?

30days is pretty tight. You will not want to count on consisent 30k days - stuff happens and what's the point of rushing through? Starting in Paploma only cuts 3 days. I second the idea of biking the Meseta - it's long, hot and after a day or 2 - you get the idea... You will want to savor the...

you will love it - beautiful scenery. I did it in the fall so had more rain. Be prepared for hills, 20k a day is enough - and the beautiful smell of eucalyptus

Camino #4 - From zero to hero (everything I learned so far and how you can walk 40+km as well)

Saving this! will have to check w MD as I have hip replacements. Being a slow walker usually means I walk alone (which I usually like - but can be lonely)

Thank you - like many, I am hoping to walk the coastal in the fall - I appreciate all the information I can get. I am especially concerned about accommodations along the way.

The Camino Magic - It's not just a Hike

Loved your conversation.... Yes this stuff happens - I did the Frances in 2019 solo and had many moments. I do think there is the kindness of other walkers as well. They seem to know when you need them - and I am sure help was sometimes sent.

Peregrinas, did you use your urination device on your camino?

2nd Camino coming up - I know there are places I don't want to crouch or pull down my pants so I plan to wear a loose Levi skirt for most days- loose underwear (or none) I may make an opening in skirt or pocket to move underwear aside? Cloth or tissue clean up; How about snap or Velcro...
