Indeed, I did exagarate and women do and should walk alone. Nevertheless, camino is growing in numbers what will definitely attract the predators. So, take necessary precautions bcs there is first time for everything.- Mario MP

New Albergue in Abadín
I stayed at Xabarin for 2 days and can say it is the best albergue I have seen on the Norte. Brand new, perfectly clean, really nice owners, located next to 2 restaurants and 2 mercados.... Fully recommended!- Mario MP

Cathedral Beach (Playa de las Catedrales)
The simplest way to go there is by bus from main plaza at the center of Ribadeo. Also, the bus ticket serves as the entry ticket to the beach. So no reservation is necessary if you have bus ticket.- Mario MP

Why you should not walk the Camino del Norte (or at least not until you have read this post!)
Norte cons: 1. Too much pavement 2. The lack of albergues; e.g. in Ribadeo there is one only 3. Bicylist peregrinos arrive first to the albergues and occupy places so walking peregrinos are in disadvantage. The hosts dont care Norte pro: It's simply fantastic :)- Mario MP
