Great view. China have come out of an extended lock down so there is hope for all of us. The Camino's not going anywhere. Hang in there, you're half way : )
Kia Ora Mark,
I was also planning to do the Norte in Mar next year and purchased a couple of guide books- so really glad you started this thread. I did the Primitivo last year and loved it. The landscape was quite a contrast from the Via de la Plata (my first, the year before) both of which I...
I had an Aarn Peak Aspiration also with 6ltr pockets (they were really handy and so easy to remove for the flight). Highly recommended!! It doesn’t have a water bladder pouch but I just put the bladder under the top flap and it worked a treat. All Aarn packs have a waterproof liner put I put the...
My heart goes out to her family. I hope there is comfort in the thought that she was doing something she loved and left peacefully.

Yes, Yes and Yes.
My first Camino was the VdlP last year. I am going back this year to do the Camino Primitivo. I had NO Spanish but have been learning it since.
The first thing I did when I got off the plane was get a SIM card (at the Airport). The guys are just outside Terminal 4 door and...
I did my first Camino with a Peak Aspiration Aarn pack - it was fantastic! The design assists with weight distribution for every step and allows your shoulders to move easily and independently while the pack stays in a neutral balanced position in the centre your back. It was very comfortable...
Hi there
My first Camino last year was the Via de la Plata - supposedly 'the road less travelled'. I went alone with no expectations and with the attitude 'what ever happens is meant to be'. I had the most amazing time and met some wonderful, awesome people. Book your tickets!! You never know...
I pay to have my pack shrink wrapped at the airport prior to checking in - it stops the straps getting caught and damaged and stops anyone accessing it ( to remove the contents or put stuff in - like drugs). Costs around €10 takes less than 5 minutes.
I’ve found this service available at many...
Hi Richo,
I did part of the VdlP and Sanabres 3 - 27 Oct 2017. I loved every minute. It was my first Camino and I wasn't expecting to meet many people so I was pleasantly surprised. I got tendinits ('cos I didn't train enough!), as a result I stopped for a couple days in a couple of different...
Finally on my way.
Thought I would take a detour so I could see the sun rise above Santiponce. Actually, it was my first hour on my first day - and yes, you guessed it (I was lost! Lol). In my defence it was 5:45am when I started out - not a lot of daylight and the signs weren't that easy to...
Thanks Hel &Scott.
We haven't started yet. I'm sailing in Croatia and the two sisters arrive in Seville tonight from Granada.
It's getting closer. I'll try and keep the thread going but I expect I'll be a bit stuffed. Haha
