Hello fellow pilgrims! I was on this forum and all prepared to walk the Camino in 2020. Well, you know what happened. Now, 4 years later I am signed up to come on a pilgrimage in September. So, 4 years older, not in as good a shape as before but hope to improve on that in the coming months...
My plans for last spring obviously postponed til fall. That did not happen. Another opportunity for this spring also postponed. Will have to see about flight restrictions and so forth if I ever get to go international again or at least for a long time.
Just watched this video again myself. Oh, I so wanted to go! Had the trip paid for and collected supplies over many months and would have gone in May but then we know what happened. I do not know now if I will be able to go. Not for some time at least. I will not go as long as there are mask...
Just cancelled my postponed Camino. I had so wanted to make the walk but the world is so uncertain at this time. Chaos all over the place. And international travel could be iffy if even allowed. I do not want to be stranded in Spain! I paid a big penalty for cancelling but now perhaps I can...
I am scheduled for October but my enthusiasm has faded. I do not want to fly the Atlantic wearing a mask or walk with a face covering and all that. Will see what things look like about August but I may cancel. Had been gathering supplies since last year for my walk which should have been in...

I am bringing both! I have Merrell Moabs and then very light weight trail runners that I can just attach to my pack. I have had feet issues and anticipate needing to trade off.
My trip tour just cancelled a trip to Italy because of the virus so if by May, it is an issue in Spain I would expect them to cancel and either postpone or refund. I have travel insurance through them so am not overly concerned.
I think of it as the "cheater" way but am starting in Sarria in early May and staying in hotels and have pre-paid. With my awful sleep habits the thought of a large cramped alburgue would be a nightmare. So we shall see how this goes and, who know, perhaps I will go for a longer walk in the...
