    Hi Marcie--I opted for Salomon brand; never owned a pair before, but they feel comfy so far...so basically in my house and my backyard haha. Haven't started the real breaking in yet. Are you booking your tickets soon? Where are you flying in from? Happy adventures! Or Buen Camino as they say :)

    Thanks for advice, much appreciated. I'll take a look at some stretching exercises as suggested. The longest I've hiked continuously was for 10 days and that was painful at times, so I know this ain't gonna be easy!

    Class of 2017

    Hi all! The plan is to embark on this great adventure in May/June of 2017. It'll be right before my 32nd birthday--eeek--and I'll be going solo. Definitely a bit intimidated and am navigating so many posts to get an idea of what this may look like. Excited for this adventure :)
