http://on.aol.com/video/worlds-most-dangerous-hike-reopens-518696324 From what I've read, it's free the first 6 months but you have to reserve a spot. And, it seems you can only reserve a spot max 2 months in advance. I'm a W2 (walkin and workin) LOL. I'm just excited to have some time off work...

I don't know MR Jones, and I really don't know many people here at all... relocated to help my parents... Glad you mentioned REI, the closest I can find is Jax FL or Atlanta GA both decent options for me to go to even though they are 5&6 hours away. Do you know of one closer? I plan to fly into...

Hi Hope! I am going solo September/Oct 2015. Very excited. I've done 7 days on the Appalachian Trail a loooonnng time ago but other than that no long distance hiking. I live in USA, Alabama. Melanie
