Hi Rick
Alas, no., there is no town-to-town baggage service.
The only baggage service available for the moment is posting your gear ahead of you from Vienna to Trieste http://www.peacewalk.eu/faq/ See #17
Hi NL.
The 2 train segments are not signposted.
In future yrs, the post Varazdin train segment will go, as it is an easy 30kms to "fill in".
The Brezice to Ljub is a long stretch. We had to go North from Brezice this yr ( to Ljub) as the Southern route , via Novo Mesto was too isolated ( but...
Hi Cora.
Good questions !
The only Accoms that you have to reserve are in Vienna, Bratislava & Trieste ......... the rest are all Camino-style and casual. i.e. you arrive without booking, as they are expecting Walkers.
As for the cities, we ask everyone to study the "in and outs" so that...
Hi Rhonda
Austria - Slovakia = no problem with just ENG
Hungary = 50/50 A bit of German will get you by.
Croatia - Slovenia = all ENG
Italy = Hmmmm :-)

Hi Zola. Yes , absolutely. The Route has to pass shops/cafes/villages half way along a Stage, so that PeaceWalkers can find food & water. You will also be able to enjoy the experience of tasting how the food evolves along the Route........
Hi. Yes, last year was a case of over-subscribed and then not arriving on the Day. Thus, a lot of Accoms, who had held beds in good faith, were rather bemused. This is why this year we introduced the small Registration fee....... as a form of commitment.
The hardest part of the EPW: Firstly...
Hi. The EPW organizes the Route, which includes making sure that the Accoms have beds and there are evening food options near by. Lunch, you pass through towns along the way with either cafes or shops. And doctors are plentiful in the towns along the Route.
The Kit is pretty much the same as a...
