Hoka One One's on El Camino!
I'm starting in SJPP the first week of September. I'm taking a brand new pair of the HOKA Mafate 4's (trail shoes) and a pair of HOKA Bondi 4's (road shoes). Plan to switch back and forth along with sock changes. Can't wait! !! HOKA rocks!!! Sure hope Decker take over doesn't mess HOKA's up.- melaniedc

Trail Running Shoes
I'm taking 2 pair of Hoka's, 1 Mafate 4 an 1 Bondi 4 I have a lot of foot problems and pain and plan to switch back and forth throughout the day along with changing socks... Im not so sure a pair of Hoka's will hold up the whole trip from SJPP but I feel pretty good about switching...- melaniedc

Thank you both kindly :) I have been to both a podiatrist and a rheumatologist actually (my lab work is borderline positive for rheumatoid arthritis). My Goodness this makes me soooooooooo freakin Happy!!! I have heal pain like mad, wear braces at night, been to the docs, physical therapy, blah, blah, blah... all that! I've found some shoes that are less painful to walk in HOKA's .. and I am walking the Camino starting Sept 2 NO MATTER WHAT...- melaniedc

Newbie here... I like to sleep warm. Trying to keep pack weight and bulk down as much as possible. Any thoughts on sleeping bag VS liner (and sleeping in long johns/coat/clothing whatever...).
