Starting Mozarabe from Malaga in a couple of days

I walked from Malaga to Cordoba a few weeks ago. Everywhere was open. I note of caution though, distances between places get longer and therefore water is a problem. Obviously no open water to filter. I carried 4 to 5 litres. Buen Camino

Starting Mozarabe from Malaga in a couple of days

Thanks for your reply. I am landing in Malaga just after midnight, next Wednesday morning. After a bit of sleep I’m heading for the Cathedral and then Decathlon to get some camping gas. My plan is to get a bus to the outskirts of town before starting my Camino. I have used the Amigo’s site to...

Has anyone walked this route recently? I am interested in whether Albergues and hostels are now all open.

Starting 29th May 2020 from Malaga

Thanks for your comments. My dates were fixed for this year but like everyone else I have deferred until next year. I do love the heat. 2018 Portuguese Camino 37c for two weeks and loved it. Plan to start earlier next year.

Starting 29th May 2020 from Malaga

Hi everyone. I am starting the Mozarabe from Malaga in late May. So that my wife and dog will still recognise me, I am taking a break mid way and only walking to Salamanca, initially. Then returning to the UK via Madrid for a month. I am planning to return to complete the Camino in September...

camino mozarabe - malaga to santiago!

Hi, I am following your route, Malaga to Santiago starting at the end of May this year. As usual, I am probably trying to over prepare, but what can you tell me about accommodation. In particular the Mozarabe sections. Will I have to ring an Albergue in the day to check if they are open (my...

LIVE from the Camino Camino Mozarabe from Malaga now

I am following you later in the year and have a question for you about accommodation along the way, I have read that Albergue type accommodation is rare on the early part of this Camino. I should mention that I am rushing through a "teach yourself Spanish" course. I have seen some accommodation...

LIVE from the Camino 2019 update on the Mozárabe

I have now bought my flight to Malaga. Start walking to Santiago on 29 May 2020. Going to check available resources over this holiday period. I hope it will be more crowded than the Portuguese Camino i did recently, Lisbon to Oporto without meeting another peregrino.. Happy New year.
