Yeah I agree with the OP.. There is so much attraction and hype about walking the Camino. I don't know why people bother to suffer the long trek, blisters, the cramped spaces in albergues, the roncadores, the heat and all the inconvenience. And I most certainly cannot comprehend why I have just...
I bought a few good ones but that was in Samos Monastery whilst waiting for their guided tour to commence. Sorry, it's not relevant to you Robo now that you're almost in SdC.
It all depends what type of people happen to be in the group. There are some who tend to ask you personal questions within a few minutes of the usual greeting (Hola and or Buen Camino) whilst others are more respectful and tend not to ask about things you wouldn't tell an acquaintance.

Judy, how about the flag of Texas instead? It looks nice and would make a good conversation starter.
A month ago, I happened to walk past a dozen or so pilgrims on the CP with big flags on their backpacks. Curious, I asked what country they were from. Aland Islands, I was told, is an autonomous...

Last year I...
You have plenty of time to recover, restrengthen your muscles and get ready for your Camino in September/October, Jim! Enlist the services of a Physiotherapist post surgery. You will be ready by then. All the best.
Hi Laurie,
I remember in another thread Al started that he is embarking on another Camino once again as he is a friend of St. James. Right Al?
!Buen Camino!
