Seems like the burden of proof should be on those who are proposing bedbug "solutions." I imagine many things would deter the wee critters in a lab, so I'd mostly be interested in field trials.
Yes, this! It's so frustrating to hear people say that they "have never had a problem with bedbugs." People who react to bites are at least likely to notice and take appropriate measures. If you've spent a lot of time on Camino and "never had a problem," you might just be the bedbug Typhoid...

Although I was dreading any more asphalt after the long slog into and out of Logroño, walking through this highway construction project was pretty interesting, and I appreciated how well the temporary route was marked.
@VNwalking Pretty sure this is the same tree on the approach and after the field was ploughed post harvest (definitely my first photo after leaving Rabé de las Calzadas) 😊
Certainly does catch one's attention out there all by itself!

I was feeling very cheerful at that point because, given the name, I was assuming the path would climb over the high point to the left as I approached the ridge, so the much shorter ascent to the saddle was a happy surprise.
I'm sure you are planning to do this anyway, but just a reminder to check with a local lawyer to verify anything you read here, and most importantly, to let us all know where you end up so we can come stay with you on our next camino. :)
