    Not everyone happy about pilgrim/tourist pressure.

    The last time I was in Santiago there were tours from a cruise ship with more than 200 tourist.. in town. They were there for several hours and the cruise paid for the swinging Botafumeiro in the cathedral.

    Silk bedsheets work. As was said before. Bedbugs hitch a ride on other people's packs. The albergues do thier best to keep thier places safe and clean.

    I drink a lot of water. When traveling by air I bring an empty Life Water bottle into the check through TSA. And then refill it before I board the plane. Then I carry it on my Camino. If it gets unusable I replace it in a grocery store. The bottle safe on weight.

    Most overseas flights provide meal as minimum as they are. We have flown out of Canada and the U S and this has been the case. We do take a few travel snacks but usually do not consume them during the flight.

    In my walking I use Village to Village bound book. My phone us for my camera. The free map picked up at the pilgrim office in SJPDP works for me. Just keep it in a zip lock bag for protection.

    I always take clean close to the shower. One of the reasons is that sometimes I wash the dirty clothes after I shower rinse them out and then hang them to dry and I put on my clean clothes.
