    I llike that you are required to walk the last 100KM into Santiago and get 2 stamps a day to receive the certificate. Everyone comes in as equals.

    If at all possible, get your passport renewed. I travelled with someone who had the same problem and she was flagged by the ticket agents and passport control every single time. It was such a hassle for her.

    I would definetely recommend Tui to Santiago for an easier route. My certificate says 118 KM but we actually walked more kms than that.

    Same thing happened to me, I passed on some souvenirs that was specific to the Portuguese Way and thought I'd find them in Santiago. Spent a lot of time in Santiago looking but never found it. Even asked one of the stores and was told that some shops design their own t-shirts and souvenirs.
