Any advice for when you want to quit?
Leon is a good rest stop - get a private room with ac and refresh. The cathedral is worth a day's look, lots of other things to explore as well. BTW there are no rules that say you can't hop a train to Leon - they you can continue on or return to your stopping point as you like. Or decide to...- PNeer

Stuck in Spain
I planned an extra month in Spain so I could explore the Moorish architecture in southern cities. we also took a few days in morocco ( a short ferry ride) See Majorca. Take a train to Portugal - (hike the Portugese?) check out the beaches. So much to see, so little time- PNeer
