how to thank my feet?
My Camino ritual to thank my feet was to dunk them for a few minutes in every stream or irrigation ditch I encountered. I walked the CF in September/October, and my feet so appreciated the break, the flow of chilly water, and the comfort of drier socks when I dried my feet off and reshod them...- Thebee6

Why do my feet hurt? Metatarsal tales
I have metatarsal issues -- insufficient fat pads on the bottoms of my feet, ruptured plantar plates, hammer toes, crunched-up nerves -- and am grappling again with getting the right combination of boots, insoles, orthotics, lacing (different lacing patterns can really help -- Google is good...- Thebee6

On this date in October...
On October 1, 2018, I walked out of Logrono on the Camino Frances, and headed into La Rioja countryside. A cool and cloudy day, with occasional beams of sunlight, and magnificent views across the landscape. Wonderful companion peregrino companions, and every step felt like an adventure.- Thebee6
