It seems that you have precooked the whole Camino, if you cannot just leave. It is better not to book too far ahead and to vary the places you sleep at. Albergues are great places to meet fellow travellers

Don’t get too anxious. I walked the French Camino in my mid 60s. The first part out of St. Jean is the steepest of the lot. Take your time do not push too hard. If can have a night in Orisson. It is a good place to meet people early, good communal dinner.

We walked to Orisson, after train in the morning. We had pleasant afternoon and a good evening at Orisson. They had a communal dinner, a good way to start. It also breaks the first leg up nicely, because it is very steep out of Sjdp.
