Hot spot on toe close to leaving on Camino

Wear Injinji toe ‘under socks’ - but get the pure wool ones. Then your walking socks (merino wool best) over them. And, put some Omnifix tape on before walking - under the socks of course!!!

    SJPP is Packed with Pilgrims.

I was there a few weeks ago - a great little village, the local ‘fair’ was being held that night - and the church is very simple by normal over-the-top (personal view) Spanish standards-very calming.

    Castromaior

I was tger I was there today - and last year too - it is still in great shape and well worth the very small detour. Most of the tour groups on this section just walk past it - even those with guides. In Ventas de Nardon tonight.

    Polish Albergue Monte de Gozo

A bit of a while since the OP, but I am looking for some more info on the Polish Albergue at Monte del Gozo. I will be through there around mid-Sep this year and am thinking of staying there so that I can get an early start for SdC to get just a sello (I got my Compostella last year) then push...

    A Must Read

I started from SJPdP on 20 Sep 18 and finished 18 Oct in SdC. I had wonderful Wx - warm to hot (up to 32 deg C) for the first 2 weeks or so followed by more milder temps as I got closer to Galicia. For the last week, cool to cold in the pre-dawn but up to the high teens or low-20’s dec C for the...

    A Must Read

Many thanks. Have e-mailed them to hold me a copy if they will, and checked out their location on maps.me - not too far from my Chinatown hotel. So fingers crossed I can get a replacement copy in a few weeks. All done in 5 min on my couch during an advertisement break on the telly. What did we...

    A Must Read

I bought that book some 4 or 5 years ago in Singapore. Have tried to get another copy recently, but it seems to be out of print. Was your copy a second-hand one? Reading the book and seeing Alvin’s great sketches alerted me to the Camino - and ultimately led me to completing the Francés for the...
