    New to European Travel

After being away from this forum for over a year I am back. I was planning on hiking the Camino in 2020, but we all know what happened. I am going to walk it in 2023. I have questions, or maybe they are concerns, on transportation. I am flying into Madrid and then starting my walk in Astorga...

The time slows down and stretches on the Camino?

As I get older (63) I find time is going by way too fast. I am looking forward to time slowing down when I do my first Camino this May.

    Liner versus sleeping bag

Thank you for the nice response. I am really impressed with all of the responses from all of the Pilgrims. Now I just need to make a decision.

    Liner versus sleeping bag

Since I don't have either, I think I will take your advice as well as other pilgrims and buy a sleeping bag. Thanks

    Liner versus sleeping bag

Hello Pilgrims. I start my Camino April 29, 2020. I will be staying in albergues for the most part. I am not sure if I should use a liner or lightweight sleeping bag. I am starting in Astorga and walking to the ocean. Thanks for your help.

    Tours

Thank you everyone for your responses. You have renewed my faith in "The Camino will provide." I will use bits and pieces of everyone's advice to complete my journey without using a tour company. So, I have another question. I plan on starting in Astorgia, going to Santiago and then to...

    Tours

Next year when I do the Camino de Frances I was planning on staying in albergues or hostels along the way without making reservations. A thread last week referencing the albergues being full kind of spooked me. I am now thinking about using a tour company to book my hotels/hostels. I know I will...

    3 weeks to walk

I am going to walk the Camino Frances next May. I would like to finish in Finisterre. I am in good shape and would like to walk 20-25 kilometers a day, with a rest day in there someplace. Any recommendations on where I should start? Thanks a bunch.
