How busy is the CF, (May 2023)?

Starting out from Leon on the 3rd of May. I've done a few caminos in the past, just wanted to get an idea of how busy it is at the moment. Would you say booking is advisable/essential, I know it can go either way at certain times.

    Splitting the First Day

If this is your first camino definitely split it. It's not just the distance of walking, or your fitness, but you will meet so many people at Orisson that you will keep randomly bumping into along the way. You will be meeting some of your new family on the very first day. Book well in advance...

Where do all the pilgrims sleep when 400 people start SJPP?

I think you have more chance of not finding a bed than finding a bad bottle of wine :-))

    Places to avoid

No-one should be scared of voicing an opinion - are you a bit sensitive dear. Constructive criticism can only advance a discussion, even if others disagree, and it's a fact of life that someone always will. Does that mean we should prefer to do nothing just in case?

Hanging your 'drawers' out for the world to see!

Are you saying you don't want other people to see yours - but you still want to see pictures of others? :-)
