Thank you all for the wonderful support! I relied so much on this forum before and during my Camino. I only hope that I can make a small contribution to support those whose Camino is just beginning.
My second Camino is a bit more delayed than I had hoped. I learned yesterday that I have...
Hi: I am back home after a very abbreviated Camino. I left SJPP on May 6th. Unfortunately, I injured my knee on the climb up the Napoleon route, and despite a 5 night stay in Viskarret/Biskarreta and a six night rest in Pamplona, I could not recover enough to continue. Although my experience...
Hello Everyone: I purchased a suitcase at El Cortes Ingeles. I have made my way back home to Arizona after taking the bus from Pamplona to Madrid. I have already been to see an orthopedic doctor who suspects a tear in the meniscus. I had an MRI this morning. My first question is going to be...
Thanks, Patty. The young man at the front desk -- although very nice-- did not have a clue as to where to go to purchase luggage. That was my first thought, also.
Hi: I started my Camino earlier this month. I have injured my left leg and cannot continue. On my travel to Spain from Phoenix I carried my backpack on board the aircraft. In my present condition, I can barely walk. I am not able to walk and carry my backpack. I am hoping to buy a suitcase...
My heart is dancing. . . After a three week delay in my departure, I have just learned that I will be able to commence my Camino next week albeit without my planned partner, Will. I will fly out of Phoenix, Arizona on Sunday morning, May 5th, and hopefully arrive in SJPP the evening of the...
The calculator worked great for me at 45 days. I agree that adding beer/wine, pharmacy, and museum admission categories would be helpful for planning. My thanks to you and your web designer for this helpful tool.
Hi Bill: I am really enjoying following your journey. Your self-reflection has also given me much to think about pre-Camino. Your photographs are marvelous. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Navarricano: I wish you the best of luck with your upcoming oral surgery. Thank you for all you do for us pilgrims. Although I am not yet on "the Way" you are in my prayers. I hope your recovery is speedy. Julie
Hi Jeff: There are some pilgrims who only do winter Caminos. I feel sure that those pilgrims will respond. In the meantime, it is your Camino. You should do it on your own time. Winter on the Camino cannot be nearly as bad as winter in ND! Smile. :D
I also have the CSJ guide. I ordered it online. CSJ posted it from London on March 27th, and it arrived in Prescott, Arizona in the USA on April 5th. It has a weather-resistant cover  Julie
Wow, what a gorgeous photo! Thanks for sharing. I am so excited for you! Living vicariously through you until my time to walk arrives. :D Namaste. Julie
Welcome, AJ! I am sure you will find many pilgrims to travel with on your journey. We do not begin our Camino until mid-April, so you will be ahead of us. I hope you have an awesome journey. Be sure to check on the weather with the pilgrim's office in SJPP before attempting the Route...
Hi Mark and Terry: My partner, Will, just celebrated his 13th year of sobriety. We will be walking from SJPP mid-April. We do not have our plane tickets booked yet, so I don't have an exact arrival date yet. He will have his triangle medallion affixed to his backpack. Hope to see you along...
