wonderful meals along the Camino Frances

In the small town of Gonzar ran into a most unexpected, and wonderful meal. At the Albergue behind the church, for dinner we were offered Bison (Buffalo) steak! And the steaks were HUGE, and good.

    Mid-Way Certificate

To all those who have not reach Sahagun, go to the Monasterio de la Peregrina west of the San Benito/Santa Clara Arch and tour the museum. Here you can also get your mid-way (half way) Compostela. Briefly fails to mention this in his guide book.

    recharging portable devices

Hi, I bought a "universal" converter and it came with TWO plugs for Europe, one for Northern, and one for Southern. Both are round, with the Northern being ever so slightly larger. Is it safe to assume that Spain is in the Southern part of Europe?

    recharging portable devices

I know this is an old topic but poster mentioned a "world universal charger." I picked up one that had two adapters for Europe; both round, but one ever so slightly larger. One was marked Northern Europe and the other Southern Europe. Is it safe to assume that Spain is in Southern Europe?

    Nationality Flags/Patches

Guys we seem to have strayed from the path. I am from the US and I certainly don't want to be "abused" for something I have no personal control over. Nor do I wish to be pegged as an "easy mark" for some nefarious persons. That said, I am not ashamed of where I am from and I am thinking of...
