I completed my Camino in mid July - all 780km of it. I started with two poles. I couldn't have managed the Pyrenees without them - particularly the downhill in the pouring rain and mid slime.....but after Pamplona I left carried them in my pack for a few days - just in case a - then discarded...
I agree - O'Cerbriero is magical! We walked about 30k that day and loved it :) La Faba was a great stop for lunch but when we got to the top....oh wow!
