"Oh my gosh" was my first response to your post, happyhippie13, because I'm on my seventh Camino right now, and only once did I spend 900 CAD (outside of airfare -- I mean when I was walking). That was on my first Camino in 2010 when I didn't know yet how to budget. Right now I'm on the Camino...
Well, you never know how Camino meetings are going to go! I just realised Katie who I happened to meet yesterday in Vila do Conde, and who I'm at the same albergue as tonight, is Katie on this thread. :D I've said it before and I'll say it again, it's a small big world. <3
Imagine that!
That's great to read, as i plan on 9 days to Santiago but have found it a bit tricky figuring out stops with albergues on the Coastal route that won't mean a super long day before my feet are conditioned -- the Central route appears to be more straight like an arrow with more regularly spaced...
I know this thread is about a credit card and a restaurant, but I love seeing stamps on a pilgrim passport. It makes me feel happy. :) <turns head sideways to see all the pretty stamps>
Yes, indeed, Albertagirl.
It strengthens all my relationships.
All.
And I am thankful for this conversation!

P.S. I always knew, before my first Camino, that I would walk it (the Camino Francés) at least twice. Some of the people I told thought that was odd... especially as I hadn't...
I meant to add (as Fatma mentioned), that I wasn't prepared for how strong the Camino Blues would be for me, my first and second time I walked. But yes, as you were advised by other pilgrims, allowing whatever emotions come up to be there, helps a lot. No real sense in resisting where you are...
Yes! Going to the Camino was one of the best decisions I've ever made too. :)
It is magical, and for me it has something to do with walking beneath the Milky Way, literally following the path of the stars. But it's also about so very much more.
Sometimes there are no Earth words to describe...
Hello, Fatma!
As has already been said, many pilgrims would consider your experience to be quite normal. ;)
I've walked the Camino four times and I'm going back for my fifth. There are moments in my life when dreaming and planning for the next one are my favourite things to do!
That said...
