Heather,
I am glad you have sorted out your feet!! I am waiting to board my plane in Vancouver... via Montreal.. Geneva for a few, before my start in Porto!!!!
I guess the arrows will good enough for me to follow- you won't have to leave breadcrumbs!
Dora ... aka Patti
I bought the arcteryx at Valhalla Pure, not MEC. Forget the actual jacket name. I picked up a pair of cool max and Marino wool socks, and trying a pair of Bamboo/wool as well. Have not tried toes socks since sometime in the 1970's!! I have thought of trying the running toe shoes though. But...
For the record it's raining something crazy just north of Vancouver, BC. I bought a new Arcteryx jacket and pants, cover for the pack from MEC.... I'm still deciding on socks... with less than 6 weeks until I touch down in Porto.

Do I really need a walking stick for the Porto to Santiago route. I have hiked/ backpacked many times over the years and never used a walking stick.
Advice ..?
