Instead of a towel, take 3-4 dishwipes - we call them Chux downunder. They are light, rinse out and dry quickly. Vila do Conde to Barcelos - Advice Needed - Thanks
It seems you are starting on the coastal then moving across. I did this in 2016 and the crossing from VdC to Rates was not very well marked.i used the Brierley guide, following the aquaduct but did get lost at one point, though was helped on my way by locals. Hi Katy It wasn't very well marked in 2016 - I followed the aqueduct as Brierley suggests, but did end up getting lost and in an industrial area called something like Toughina! Place to leave a stone (like Cruz de Ferro) on Portuguese Camino?
Yes there is. A cross placed on Napoleon's pass, as I recall. Lots of rubbish was left around too, sadly, when I was there in 2016.- Kazles

combining the coastal /interior routes ?
Hi Rob and other and thanks for the good ideas and advice Am also a first timer planning to travel from Porto and turn inland at some point.
