Stopped in Llanes. But have booked to go to Porto have limited time available. Will return to the norte one day soon. Perhaps not to do second half but repeat first as i got so much rain missed alot of the views 🙈😂
Have also done the Primitivo and loved it 😊
Thanks to you all for the feedback much appreciated. I guess for me it's not so much about the terrain although i am avoiding crazy climbs after a bit of a work out on the norte 😂 but whether it's beautiful or not. I got the impression its was a little lacklustre or boring with all the...
Hi Everyone im planning on starting from Porto in April. Ive done the central before dont necessarily mind doing it again but wondering what the coastal is like? I did the first three weeks of the Norte and was blown away by it so thats tempting me to do Portuguese coastal but im hesitating. Any...
I absolutely loved the portugese...What better way to welcome your 30's full of adventure and hope. Its what makes life rich and beautiful.. seize the opportunity
I started From Porto on the 19th September and the weather was great not a drop of rain just a little morning fog sometimes. Some days were pretty hot in the 30s but also balanced out with temps in the low 20's very pleasant walking weather. The interior route was just beautiful highly recommend...
I would highly recommend the central it's so beautiful and the landscape is constantly changing from little villiages, forests, vineyards, dirt tracks, Riverside walks and there is a bit of road walking but I didn't find it excessive. I started a month earlier 19 Sept 2018 and saw pilgrims on...
Met quite a few people who walked from Lisbon over the past few weeks , I walked the Central from porto. They said by comparison the Lisbon to Porto route involves quite a lot of road walking and found it much tougher than the Porto to Santiago leg. So it's probably best to go easy on yourself...
In the end I got the train to Maia forum outside of Porto and walked to vairo avoiding most of the industrial estate. It was a nice stage which improved the further you went nice little villages and I really loved staying at the monastery. As for the central route I found it to be absolutely...
Hi everyone I'm starting from Porto on Wednesday I'm just wondering does anyone have any feed back on the Porto to villarhino stage. Is it really built up and industrial? I've read the cobblestones and concrete make it tough ...Also read that it's nicer to take the coastal route out of Porto...
It's really encouraging to read your message. Thank you for taking the time to write and your kindness does make a difference. I'm walking my first Camino next week alone and it makes me feel better to think there will be people like yourself watching out for me.
Hi I'm planning on doing 2 weeks on the Camino Portuguese mid September just wondering if I need to carry a sleeping bag for hostels ? Temperatures during the day seem to be nice still but any feedback on how the nights are? I'll be doing the central thanks
Hi Everyone. Wondering does anyone have advice on apps? I've been trying to calculate distances on Google maps but it doesn't follow the Camino route. Is there an app which marks out the route and allows you to calculate distances? I'm not planning on following suggested routes from guide books...
