The section from Porto to Santiago was my favorite. We ended up spending almost a week in Porto.

Thats a good plan. I had thought about that very thing. However, i started May last year in SJPD and froze my back side off going over the mountain.

i have walked from Porto to Santiago. the Brierley guide book worked good. I also think the Wise Pilgrim works well.

We walked the CP from Porto in August of 16. The Coastal route was fairly sparsely used, however the albergues did seem well used. The municipal albergue in Caminha was full, forcing us to find alternate places.
