    We walked Lucca to Rome last October. We used Booking.com and had no problems staying in any town. Half the nights were in agriturismos and B and Bs the other half.

    We walked Lucca to Rome in October. We stayed in every town on your list and had no issues using Booking.com. If this is your first walk be cautious of the parts that are on the highway. It can get very dangerous if you wander into a lane of traffic

    We did the same route in Sept last year. We did encounter aggressive dogs a few times but it was only when the path came close to the sheep herd.
