The Camino Ingles from Ferrol to Santiago is 5 days. There used to be a bad day going up to Bruma on day 5 but there is a new and easier route now. Hostal accommodation at all stages but the Bruma one needs the slight diversion to Nova do Vento for a Hostal. See our Johnie Walker guide book.
Lovely thoughtful send off for him. My father was in the Royal Navy so I scattered his ashes into the sea. Unfortunately for me after I had waded out to waist deep the wind changed just as I scattered. I was covered in Dad! Him having the last laugh?
This afternoon I finally feel awake and better Tia. Maybe it was the thunderstorm this afternoon in Wolverhampton finally waking me up? (Or maybe 4 very sweet cupcakes?)
It takes an awful lot to drag me down - I was even moaning about things! Not me at all that.
Glad you found it enjoyable. I encountered a few pilgrims who also said it was busy (and muddy) including two young animals who walked Ferrol to Santiago in 3 days!
I had a cough and cold and the weather was pretty bad. For the first time ever I chickened out and spent most the week in bed in warm hotels. Now beck home doing thge same. Maybe I should have just come back on the day after I got there?
Well done to those that made it. You did not have the best...
The Proclaimers kept nagging me last year when I was walking 1000 miles (with an obvious change). Though at times it was more like a prayer with a "can" bit.
You are not the first to do this. It is funny what songs pop into your head while walking the Camino. Very often you find yourself obsessed by one. No matter what you do it won't go away and you try hard to replace it with other thoughts/songs but it persists! Well I suppose the Camino is a bit...
I walked the Samos route for the first time last summer. It was magical! Definitely one of the best days of my Caminos. So peaceful! Glad I hadn't taken that choice before as I would never have walked the other route!
Thanks for volunteering. Enjoy your time as a hospitalero.
I expect to be there the middle of July after the Primitivo before heading off for a little more walking but will definitely be there the 26th as I fly out on the 28th. Why? When are you going to be there?
Dare all you like but I don't expect to be able to walk into Merida until around the 30th of May. But I accept the challenge if I can cheat. Can I?
I have spent this morning replanning. Not so easy on the Mozarabes to do this but with a few long days I could get to Cordoba a couple of days...
Welcome. Someone with an instrument is always welcomed at the day's end as long as they are half way capable or better! If you feel you need to take it because you would miss playing then you are probably more than competent enough! But good luck with the extra weight! Buen Camino.
