For me Edinburgh to Santander then bus to Logroño is easiest, I did it last year to do the Hospitalero course. Burgos is also a traffic hub so although I have not done it you can get a bus from Burgos back to Santander.
Booked my flight today, arrive SJPdP 28th April, to start next day 29th April. I will probably book accommodation for the 28th but intend to go "free form" from there on taking maybe 25 - 28 days to Santiago and if still in good health maybe wander on to Muxia.

Hi, I'm planning the Camino Frances for charity starting SJPP in Spring 2014, probably May/June, but I'll be weather watching and hoping for a "window of opportunity."
