I'm sure you could do it, though much/all of it would probably be on roads. The Porto metro system (Red Line) runs to VdC. You could pick up the Purple line at the airport, exit a Verdes, and hop on the Red Line to VdC.
In training for the CF I totally over-killed it - 700 km with a full pack, though at 67 years felt I needed any advantage I could get. I think 150 km of walking (in the shoes you will wear on the camino) with a full pack if possible - so you know how that feels. Try to find some hills, though...

You should not feel discouraged in any way. If you take your time, and allow for some rest on the stages you will be good. I am planning to walk the Primitivo in May/June - the planning is part of the fun...enjoy.
