My wife and I will be out there again this year - Leon to Santiago during the first half of June.

I'd pretty much reiterate what others have said: you are likely to be young enough and fit enough to do the walk with no potential problems and, as an experienced athlete, will know how to listen to your body.
Time-wise, there should be ample. Of course do some preparation, but...

Sometimes decsions have to be made that take us out of our comfort zone - they're often not easy, but need taking all the same. I think the time will come to do just that, but perhaps that time is not quite here - not especially from a fear-factor point of view, but...

I know a lot of people give up work before going on Camino, either quit their jobs or take early retirement or fully retire, and others are able to arrange a sabbatical. Sadly, for me, the latter seems unlikely - where I work, and the role I have, time...
Can't commit to exact dates yet, as will have to wait till January to confirm holiday dates, but we should be walking Leon to Santiago sometime during 2015 - perhaps late spring or early autum, depending.
Hopefully it all works out - our plan to walk the route over 3 years has worked OK so far...
We'll be out there - my wife and I - late August and early September between Logrono and Leon. Sounds like there will be loads of people to meet and chat to on the way! :-)
