Way to go. We are in Wollongong and have walked a number of times leaving in April/May. Happy to answer any questions if they come up. Hope to see you there.
Lynne and I will be staying in the Auberge du Pelerin next to the Pilgrim office on Sunday and hope to start walking May 7th. We may be able to say g'day.
We have walked from St Jean in 2014 & 2016, flying from Australia into Barcelona. We have found spending an extra day in Barcelona, then an early train to Irun and the local train to Bayonne before the afternoon train to St Jean works.
We did this as the Pamplona to St Jean bus wasn’t running...
Also, we are in our 60’s and will be walking our third Camino. If there are any questions we can help with, especially coming from Australia, let us know.
Hope you have a great experience. We are starting out on about the 8th April, and hope that the weather lets us walk over the Pyrenees.
