Hi there! I'm Muppet and leaving from Porto on the 2nd of April to walk the Portugese route. After that will travel down to Seville at the end of April and attempt to walk the Via de La Plata route back up to Santiago..the mind is willing...hopefully the body also! :roll: Good luck to...- muppet

Hi John, Thanks for the advice. I'm tempted just to take the jacket and waterproof trousers but I think I'll take both and can always get rid of the poncho on the way if its surplus te requirements......packing is a tricky thing and I want to keep the weight and space used down to a minimum but...- muppet

Hi Jean-Marc Yes I've taken a possible 6 months out to do this and whether I achieve them both is still open to question but I'll do my best :D With the amount of time I've got i can afford the odd days rest and recuperation........The intention is there...lets hope the body is up to the...- muppet

Hi Larry, How many kilos were you carrying on your back when you did it? Do you find you need a poncho plus a raincoat and raintrouser combi or is one or the other a better bet as far as weight and space go?
