Wondering if that also applies in Portugal?
Having said that I haven’t seen many pilgrims doing that…a quick...
Having recently completed the Porto to Santiago, and then a number of other Caminos (Invierno, Inglés, Muxia etc) back-to-back my experience has been that Portuguese drivers didn’t seem to be any worse or better than other drivers. What I did note, was that the route plays a big part in the car...

That‘s a decision you will make.
For the exchange of value (payments) there are multiple options. If you don’t want to provide your...
Ultimately we all need to make decisions based on the choices/options available to us. Some of those choices involve risk, some necessitate sacrifices. Some of those risks or sacrifices we may deem to be too great and it may mean we decide not to participate in an activity (our choice).
I can...
Every time you use your credit or debit card your information is stored and reported on. Every time you withdraw cash from an ATM or at a shop your information is stored and reported on. This happens the world over. You just don’t have visibility to it In the normal course. Moreover the...
As most have said, keep your valuables on/with you at all times.
Bring an S hook and a wet pack to hold your valuables while showering.
Build lasting friends, but don’t trust anyone to look after your stuff while you’re showering, going to the bathroom, etc.. Your valuables are your...
It’s interesting reading the legislation and the underlying reason for the introduction of this change.
“At the present time, the greatest attacks on citizen security are carried out by both terrorist activity and organized crime, in both cases with a markedly transnational nature. In both...
