    I agree with Pieces, across town by train will be more reliable. Monday morning after the holiday on the M25 could be bad, though it may not be. Personally I'd consider booking the Tuesday flight while it is £69 which it probably won't be if you have to book it on Monday. Good luck. Andrew.

    time between flights- Gatwick to Stansted

    Personally I wouldn't risk it, although in theory it can be done in that amount of time. The distance between the 2 airports by road is about 100 miles around London and the traffic is very unpredictable, as are trains. Andrew, England.

    Your best bet is to take the underground train from Heathrow to Liverpool Street station (which is in central London).
