Vueling Airline
Had never flown them before, but I did (2 times) this past September. They are a "no frills" I guess budget airline. Paris/Barcelona and Barcelona/Munich. Both were very good experience. Madrid to Pamplona
On arrival in Pamplona, (the bus station is underground), we met other perigrinos (6) and we hired a taxi (mini van for 100 euros) to SJPDP and split the cost. Best airport/transportation options if beginning in St. Jean
Since you have done this before and are somewhat familiar through Madrid, I recommend Madrid and bus Alsa into Pamplona. At bus station in Pamplona there are always taxis waiting for pilgrims. This is almost the similar to what I did September 2017. Only difference, at arrival at bus station at Pamplona, I shared a taxi with other pilgrims (4 total), worked out to 25.00 Euros each for the 100.00 Euro "charter" of taxi to SJPDP. Best airport/transportation options if beginning in St. Jean
Hi. I did the Frances last September. I flew into Madrid and took a bus from the airport to Pamplona. At Pamplona bus station I shared a taxi with other pilgrims to St. Jean. There are always pilgrims there looking to share a taxi. Fare is approx 100 euros. Very scenic drive.- E V Waight
