Knitting needles used to be banned (post 9/11) for International travel from Australia. They even made it onto the list of prohibited items. But at some point a few years later were okay!! I don't knit anyway, but Kathar1na, who knows if it'll be a part of my 3rd Camino life changing experience...- GlenysP

Thanks for the info. I was quite sick and in Carrión de Los Condes though, and thought at the time there was no train. I must have missed the PayPal option for ALSA because I would have initiated the credit card payment option and then got 'caught up' trying to work out why it wouldn't accept...- GlenysP

I was just on the Camino. I became very sick with a serious chest infection. After staying two nights in an Alburgue I decided to catch the bus up ahead. ALSA wouldn't accept either of 2 Bankcard or Visa cards, only Spanish credit cards!!! Luckily a Spanish lady rang on my behalf to book the...- GlenysP
