Madrid to Ponferrada
We did that segment last year, 2023. Took train from Madrid Chamartin station to Leon. Changed trains to Ponferrada. Super easy and quite comfortable. Barcelona
Hotel Leonardo Las Ramblas. Very close to downtown street La Rambla. Close to Metro. Outstanding breakfast buffet. Super clean with modest pricing. Stayed there in November for several nights. Many nearby stores, eateries. A few blocks from the Boqueria market.- Tim Floyd

Stuck in Paris
Stuck for 4 days in Paris! You are lucky. Buy your soonest available train tickets to SJPP and enjoy Paris. Go see Versailles. See the Orsay and Louvre. Go to Sacre Cour at sundown and enjoy the view. I would consider it my first Camino blessing to be providentially stuck in Paris.- Tim Floyd

Did this. Iceland Air experience was excellent and the pricing was great. They were also very flexible on our return.
