Nice stages post santander
I'm just back from one week on the Norte. Santillana del Mar to Comillas is a really lovely walk. Both interesting towns with great transport links both from and to Santander. Autobus Cantabrica provide a great service on this route.- CMMCKEON

LIVE from the Camino Who's on del Norte? Oct 2021
I am just home from 8 days on Camino Del Norte, Santander to Gijon. Day 1, walking to Santillana, I met nobody at all. After that, however I met about a dozen or so over the various stretches. It was such a great experience, weather , scenery, food and wine and of course the people along the way.- CMMCKEON

Sep 23rd, Starting in Irun. Anyone else?
I start from Santander on Thursday 30th September. This is my 3rd time on the Norte. I had hoped to take a train to Mogro, and walk from there. However, it looks like there is a train strike in Spain that day, so may need to have alternative arrangements. I have booked a bed in Santillana...- CMMCKEON

Hi, I stayed in Albergue Pozueta, pre-covid. Lovely place, great host, great location, very quiet and comfortable, also really nice food and plenty of it!
