    I first had fabada in the albergue at Buendeños on the Camino del Salvador. Altogether my favorite Camino meal. Perfect for hungry cold pilgrims.

    Airbnb? There are some hoops you have to go through to join if you are not already connected to them but I just checked and they do have cheaper options.

    Good advice and reflects our experience in the mountains in the latter stages of the Salvador as we neared Oviedo. The most difficult part was not the wet but the terrain. Slippery wet stony paths turned to streams alternating with at times, ankle deep mud. We were glad of our ankle high boots...
