Weather and Difficulty Questions
It's less about the uphills you can power through and more about the downhills. There were a few downhills, fortunately without too much traffic, that I serpentined down to save my knees! At least 1 pole is a must if you haven't trained.- Verbacious

The food in Basque Country is amazing. You are on the coast so the seafood is incredibly fresh! In Irun our first night before our start, we stumbled upon a restaurant with an outdoor deck that looked inviting and this was a beautifully arranged Spanish catfish! Yes, catfish! I just finished Irun to Santander and had all weather extremes 35C on the first day out of Irun - but I can’t imagine the over mountain route in the rain - it was the hardest rock paths that we had dust and parched lips but if you have rain it will be slippery.
