I'm starting in Santander having finished there last year on the 6th July. The first section appears very long for a first day toSantillana. Should I do 10k after I arrive at 5.00pm to e.g.Santa Cruz and make the next day easier?- seanmcauley

Camino del Norte the one for me
Just finished 9 days on the Camino del Norte from Irun to Santander - great experience. Signs, variety, good albergues, no fleas!!, 22-24 deg, friendly pilgrims - did skip Bilbao to Portugalete by metro, don't enjoy walking all day through a city. Great coastal views and inland forest walks.- seanmcauley
