Quick bit of advice
My experiences are from 2017 and I was surprised that there were not nearly as many places to stop for "second breakfast". I would estimate that we had this meal perhaps half of the days. Still, the vdlp was an amazing journey.- mwextine

How much Spanish do you need on the VDLP
My cousin and I walked VDLP in 2017 and had a similar or lesser Spanish "skillset". I was initially planning on walking by myself but was glad to have a companion. It went fairly smoothly. We did have two encounters with livestock dogs and I would not want to do that by myself.- mwextine
