    Via de la Plata 2019.

    We will be starting the VdlP right around the first of October 2019. Definitely like the cooler weather. We hope it will be cooler in 2019 then in 2018. :-) Did the Frances in the fall...very nice, did the Frances in Aug-Sept, way to HOT ! Buen Caminos ;-)

    Question for those who walked long stages or slept outside. Was it because there were no alternative places to sleep, such as hostels, pensiones or hotels, or because there was absolutely no other choice ? We also trekked the Frances in fall/winter and had zero problems with finding alburgues...

    Five Years of VdlP Pilgrim Numbers

    I wouldn't say that the Frances is completely easy, but having trekked it twice we, found the number of people dramatically increased between Sarria and Santiago from one year to the next ... the 100 k'ers. Hence in 2019, we are off to trek the Via de la Plata, a road less traveled :-)
